Yan Gomes will have a normal baseball day and will take BP on the field (weather permitting).

No Morel or Ayama on the lineup
This is a big series (I know it’s early). But time to set the table and put the cards back farther than they already are. Create distance where we can.
Cards are already in must win baseball now. Playing a rival helps fuel what they need right now. Let’s hope our offense wakes up a bit
This series is kind of what the doctor ordered for the cards. What more motivation to get back on track than play against your biggest rival
Cardinals will have to face Stroman/Taillon/Steele. With just a little bit luck (which they have had zero of so far), the Cubs could really help bury the dirty birds in the standings this week.
Isn’t it great to be this excited about the Cubs again? 17-17 is not a good representation of this team. They’ve lost plenty of heart breakers already, hopefully things even out and we’re fighting for a wild card if not the division in September.
