Not saying this is remotely true, but how would you feel if this was our season opener

Don’t get me too excited
Not a super exciting matchup tbh, but one the Lions would probably be favored and probably should win.
Biggest notable meaning, we start against Jamaal
Campbell vs Jamaal, each playing their former teams. I could see it
I’d rather not start off with any big games so this works for me. Also I’m going to the game against the Chargers in LA so I really hope it doesn’t end up being the opener since that will easily double ticket prices.
That damn Limo driver is at it again!
Jamaal williams 10 rushes for 20 yards thanks to big boi broderic martin pluggin the hole
I feel like we prob will have a road game to open the year. I was thinking Dallas maybe, I think that’d be a good one too, but I could see New Orleans as well.
First Swagg circling it heavily on his calendar.
Opposite of last year’s opener, should be an easy win
The saints are a team that will start cooking and getting better chemistry as the season goes on. I’d rather play them early than later in the season.
Solid opener. I do feel like we could take this game handily, but Derek Carr will be playing with a chip in his shoulder for sure
The NFL can bring in anybody they want. Just kick their ass and make them crawl home with broken kneecaps.
Decent opener. Would rather play NO early in the season especially as Kamara should be out and suspended
1-0
I would love it.
I don’t like prime time games. I like 1pm while eating lunch games so I can enjoy the rest of my day.
We’ll beat their ass
I’m hoping this game is later in the season. I’ve never been to NO and would love to go check it out. I don’t think I can swing an early season trip there. How about MNF 10/30? Would be fun to go to New Orleans around Halloween.
i’d feel good about it, get the easier games out of the way while Jamo is still suspended
I’m for it!
I want the home opener to be with a Lions team that has a little chemistry!
Worth noting that a majority of the schedule rumors and leaks from the last few years ended up being false.
Remember last year there was that account that put bogus matches on twitter, got all that attention, and then told everyone they made stuff up? This account kinda looks like something similar to that…
This is just a good exercise in realizing how few teams I think we need to actually fear this year.
While it would be nice to start the season off with a more “marquee” matchup, the Saints are slightly underrated in the NFC I feel.
While Carr isn’t a world beater, he’s definitely a step or two up from Dalton/Winston/Hill. The Saints have some decent weapons on offense. Olave is a nice warmup for the revamped secondary, and if Michael Thomas is ever healthy again, he’s a threat. Their defense is alright as well.
Also would be nice to shut down Williams, as much as I like the guy. He can run wild in any other game, but seeing him with a 12 carry, 30 yard game would warm my cockles a bit.
Well just on the surface you have Derek Carr’s first game and he probably isn’t settled into the offense yet, while the Lions should be ready to go.
Campbell and Glenn homecoming.
Sounds like a solid way to get that first dub.
I still remember the Saints putting “Here Kitty Kitty” on their dome years ago…..I want this
Just saw Lions schedule. WTH we play 8 in a row away? Lions vs NFL
