Looking like jb replacement is starting next game.
Can't blame the goalies for this loss. Devils failed all around in this game.
I think its games like this where, no matter who wins the Stanley Cup, no goalie will be winning the Conn Smythe this season. The reason why I think so is because skaters from all teams have done a great job at finding the back of the net. I understand that the playoffs aren't over yet and that anything can happen, but when you look at how many goalies have been letting in 5+ goals a game in these playoffs, it was probably enough to keep them out of the Conn Smythe discussion.

I’m Boston fan but I can say Canes are total different team during the regular season than playoffs
Poor coaching beginning of second by Devils, one could feel only from these highlights after 1-2 that this could turn bad. Something had to happen there.
I might be biased but this Canes team is really something special. And to think we are doing it without Svechy or Teravainen… the Canes really let the game come to them in this one. It seemed like an effortless, dominating win, especially after a terrible loss in game 3. I hope we can seal the deal and move on to the conference finals. GL NJ

Anyone else find it ironic that the Canes wore Black in the playoffs and always suffered a brutal playoff exit then they wear their championship uniforms in this year's playoffs, and they look like the 2006 team all over again? Switch back to red Canes, it's lucky.
Ok can we talk about how underrated Martinook is? He has been a beast during the playoffs.
This Hurricanes uniform is so much better. Besides the Ducks, they have the worst logo.
Svechnikov has literally done nothing all series.

Feels like I'm watching more of advertising then actual game.
I'm proud of BOTH teams for what they've accomplished this series. Not only did I want them to play each other because I wanted both New York teams to not advance but their mirrored style and how they execute would tell me which one is really ready to make a true run for the Cup. Also, Marty's short-side blast was a thing of beauty. 🫶
During the regular season I always notice win or lose the Devils scoring over 3 goals or more. They were named after a mythical creature. Hopefully this creature soul goes into these devils players game 5.

Vanecek has been terrible in these playoffs. This is not the time of the season to be having question marks about your goaltending.

This really was a "Devils got a goal and the Hurricanes took offense to that."
As I said last post, we need to find a way to stop the Canes stretch passes along with the quick tips into the middle of the ice that they use to advance into the neutral zone without having to out-skate us, this also prevents us from getting turnovers on the rush because the puck spends such a little amount of time in the neutral zone. SECONDLY we have to find a way to counter act there 1, 2, 2 fore-check, it suffocates us in our own end and causes mayhem and is preventing us from getting the puck out of our own end.
Devil’s fans must miss Martin Brodeur……
After Game 3, I was hoping for a change but I didn’t expect THIS 🔥 5 goals in the 2nd, 4 of those all within 5 & 1/2 minutes. I feel confident in this team! Let’s go Canes!
