We know Lou is dangerous, but is he really capable of burying Malkin in a shallow grave on Robidas Island?
Ah, I see this may ending going the way the Giants were prior to firing Gettleman…nepotism will be the downfall of this team. Not that we’ve had much success, prior to Trotz, since the 80s.
It’ll be hard to support the team if this were to actually happen. Unless Chris can be better than Lou, but Lou will likely still have his hands on everything if this happened. Also, I need Lou to just let the players grow their damn beards. Palmeri is a different beast when he doesn’t shave.
Maybe he is already gone and they are respecting his wishes to not have it aired out until a new GM is hired.
You know, it’s okay for these guys (Botta, Rosner, etc.) to take a break for a couple of weeks instead of tweeting nonsense like this because there’s no actual news about the Isles to actually discuss.
Maybe Lou has re-signed. Maybe Lou has resigned. Maybe he is just staying on as President. Maybe he isn’t. Maybe they hired his son. Maybe they are waiting for the Leafs to lose and Dubas to get fired to hire him and blah, blah, blah…
There’s no way this is true. Botta was excommunicated by the Islanders and has zero sources left. My strong suspicion is that Lamoriello will retire or step into an advisory role and they will hire another GM not named Chris Lamoriello

We may not love the last 2 years but the Lou years have been the best Islanders years of my life (45 years old but was too young to remember the dynasty). I can’t complain about the guy.
We didn’t do what we wanted against the canes but we sure looked better than the Devils have (so far).
