Bears’ Week 1 game vs. Packers perfect chance to flip rivalry script

  1. There are three outcomes I really hope for this year:

    1. 20-0 Win it all with #32 and #1 pick in 2024 draft
    2. Make wildcard spot and get the team experience with playoffs even if early bounce, something like a 9-11 win season
    3. Same situation as Lions last year where we get to bounce the Packers from playoff contention in a meaningless game

  2. I love this scheduling so much. This game is so much more meaningful than your typical week 1 game.

If we win, it reflects a potential changing of the guard. The bad man really is gone, and the Bears have the change to re-set the rivalry moving forward. And what an emotional boost to kick off the season.

If we lose, we’re just the “same old Bears.” It really calls the coaching into question. The Packers couldn’t make the playoffs **with** Rodgers last year. You mean you can’t beat them in Chicago after an offseason of building around our supposed franchise QB?

It’s an enormously important game and I absolutely love it.

  3. no, the script is done. aaron rodgers is on another team. we no longer have the opportunity to flip that script.

sure, we might start winning more games against the packers now. maybe. no one knows what jordan love is all about. but the idea that the bears can overcome around 30 years of league MVP QB play from the packers is ridiculous. they won, we lost. it sucks but it is what it is now and we can no longer change that narrative.
