Don’t sell them short. They can be in the cellar tomorrow night.
Braves should win the division by 15 games
look, I am as disgusted and frustrated by this team as anyone, and obviously shit has to happen, but y’all, baseball. Anything can happen. We will probably get swept by the gnats and hit rock bottom. But the Phillies will gladly tell you that the season is not a predictor of the postseason.
That would certainly be impressive for the most expensive team in baseball. Very dubious strategy by them to impress everyone…
Wow didnt realize were only 1 game out of the WC despite everything. Thats nice at least
When I look at the standings right now, I can’t help but be thankful that the Mets are an NL team. I can’t imagine how we’d be performing in the AL right now, especially in AL East.
September is about three and one-half months away.
So is first place if things shake out right. R-E-L-A-X
It’s not the cellar; it’s the ground floor of a fantastic new opportunity!
FWIW– on May 17th last year (the point at which the Mets had also played 38 games), the Braves were 6.5 games behind the Mets and ended up tied. The Phillies were 6.0 out and ended up going to the World Series.
