  4. My upstairs neighbor is an avid Braves fan. I see her walking her dogs and about half the time she’s in Braves gear. Not that long ago she was at the doubleheader they played in Queens and got to see Acuña launch that rocket. The Braves have come up in nearly every conversation I have had with her, even in the offseason.

    What I’m trying to say is, if the Jays win the series, I expect to be stabbed to death.

  5. So I saw this today on bluebird banter, and just thought it was so wild someone needed to share it:

    But Orelvis Martinez start to this season is absolutely wild. He’s batting .116/.188/.384 but has 20 RBI’s on 10 hits (lol).

    He’s also lowered his K% to a respectable 22.7% and raised his ISO by 25 points and walking at his career norm rate.

    But here’s the kicker, he’s got a BABIP of .051 😂

    His whole line is just straight up stupid.

    If I can recall the Jays record in backside shenanigan games is quite good (Bo Bichette butt slap and Whit tearing his pants come to mind). Hope we can get a win against Luigi tonight

  17. Holy smokes now Rasmussen put on the 60 day IL. Whatever deal with the Devil the Rays made for their pitchers…payment is coming due.

  18. This doesn’t have anything to do with tonight’s game aside from the fact that he’s part of the Braves minor league coaching staff and I’m watching some Marco Estrada before today’s game, but I wish Devon Travis stayed healthy.

    He’s only 32 and would have lined up as a great carryover piece from the 2015 team. That bat alongside Bo would have been hell for a pitcher.

  21. Here’s hoping Kevin Pillar and Kirby Yates get a standing ovation from Blue Jays fans, especially the former. Regarding the latter, though he had to recover from TJS when he was with us, he used his recovery time to help make Jordan Romano become the great closer we all know and love.

  24. Went out to pick up burritos before the game starts and with it being a beautiful day, there are HORDES of preteen boys on bikes.

    I incited their wrath by cheerfully calling out to them that “helmets are for heads!”

    But like bruh it’s not going to do you any good just dangling from your handlebars like that 😫

  25. Every time I take the GO Train, I pass the Cirque du Soleil tents and I always think “Hey look! It’s the Trop!” And it makes me laugh
