Pitching just wasn’t strong enough today and Wander was off. Still if there was a game this series you’d say “probably losing that one” it would be Fleming bump day

I didn’t expect a 4 game sweep. Let’s consider this our 1 loss for the series.
By the way, keeping Brandon Lowe in but pinch hitting for Josh is NOT how you give the young guys confidence.

I still have no clue why Cash pinch hit for the wrong Lowe
That was Cash’s worst game of the year. Just brutal decisions from the 7th inning on, capped off by letting B. Lowe wave the bat around for the first out of the 9th then pulling J. Lowe for a R/L matchup despite being the hottest bat on the team rn.
We cannot have an automatic out in B Lowe in our lineup. Cash was dumb for multiple reasons today.
Brandon Lowe is a good guy but a hell of a liability. Black hole in the lineup more times than not :/
Well if that 2-2 pitch to Judge was an inch closer in the zone we probably win that.

Cash also made the dumbest managerial decision yet this season. Lifting JLowe for Margot when he’s red hot and our best hitter right now instead of BLowe who is literally 0-25

When you get outcoached by Aaron Boone you deserve to lose.
Not sure what the hell Cash thought that whole game. He’s a great manager but he gets too smart for his own good and blows games.
If there’s not a gas leak in our bullpen that explains Cash’s management in the 9th than he needs to go get checked for a tumor. Insane behavior.
Just a ducking terrible day for Rays baseball. Gonna get drunk and see if it helps things.
Infuriating loss. B Lowe needs a day or two off because he’s a black hole in our lineup.
Short porch definitely the MVP today
Our bullpen is not deep enough, and now our pitching rotation with Ras and Springs out (and Glasnow doesn’t give me optimism) to have the offense be anything but superb.
It’s a long season so losses like this one are frustrating. Very winnable game.
The Rays are tied for the second lowest bullpen ERA but it does not feel like that at all lol
Someone gotta ask Cash why Margot wasn’t pinch hitting for Brandon and red hot Josh Lowes bat was removed, we sure Boone wasn’t managing our team at the end?
Lot of newer reddit handles in this sub seeming to think kevin cash is a bad manager.
162 games, lot of bad decisions are going to be made over a long season, no reason to insult our well above average skipper.
If Brandon Lowe’s confidence is so fragile that he can’t handle being dropped in the lineup, then maybe being a professional athlete isn’t for him
Brandon Lowe ain’t gonna find it again until he makes the adjustment and stops trying to pull literally everything. His line in May so far: 037/133/074 with a wRC+ of **-36** I believe he’ll make the adjustment because he’s done it before but holy shit stretches like this are so bad they make you think he never will.
Also fuck Anthony Rizzo
Tough but oh well… Thankfully not a bullpen day tomorrow. Taking the next two for the 3-1 series win will be acceptable.
The first game I think Cash’s decisions have lost for us this year.
1. Kevin Kelly looked bad in the 7th. He should not have come back out.
2. Adam should not have pitched in the 8th. That would leave either Beeks, Poche, or Thompson to finish the 9th if Adam didn’t blow it. Thompson should’ve started the 8th inning with Adam getting the 9th if Thompson handles business.
3. Brandon Lowe should’ve been pinch hit for. He has 1 hit in the month of May. There’s no world in which he should’ve seen action especially against a lefty in a crucial situation.
4. Josh Lowe has been the most clutch hitter on this team and should not have been pinch hit for. You can’t make the lefty righty argument because if Cash didn’t care about it for Brandon it shouldn’t have mattered for Josh.
Cash doesn’t make these mistakes often, he had the perfect shitstorm of factors tonight and didn’t address them properly which resulted in a loss but those will be few and far between. Move on to the next one, fuck the Yankees, fuck Rizzo, go Rays.
Someone help me out here. What is the type of necklace that Franco and Siri have been wearing? Starting to see them everywhere.

A couple wall scrapers over the porch kept the Yankees in it.

Please no more Kevin Kelly against the Yankees. 2 games he’s blown vs them now. 8 games ahead of the yanks instead of 12 ahead could be a huge difference if we’re still in the playoff/division lead race in September
