With rumors that Cook is set to be released after June 1, should the Broncos sign him?

Cook would certainly not be cheap, but he is still a top-tier running back talent who could cover for Javonte while he gets back up to speed. Cook would be an incredible 1-2 punch with Jovonte when both are healthy.

  1. Aren’t we about maxed out? A bigger name like this makes little sense. Javonte will be back. And if he comes back subpar, then maybe we look later. Doubt it though.

  2. The Broncos have an estimated $8.8 million in cap space right now. I am sure he will make less money wherever he ends up, but the Broncos won’t be using their remaining cap on him.

  3. Did you watch Dalvin last year? Definitely not a top tier back anymore and some hard miles on those legs.

I’m not saying he’s horrible by any means, but just not sure you’d be getting the Dalvin Cook a lot of people think you’d be getting. But who knows how things would look with Samaje also in the backfield and Javonte coming back at some point (hopefully)

  4. He’s going to have a ton of interest, so we’d have to be a team he wants to go to. But if he wants to come here on a 1 year deal then absolutely we should do it. We have no clue if/when Javonte will be back this year or how close he’ll be to 100%. And even if he does come back around mid season a backfield of Javonte, Cook and Perine sounds amazing for a Sean Payton offense. Those Saints teams thrived with multiple good RBs

  5. Absolutely if we can get the money to work. We really need another back because Javontae will be a question mark until he has a solid game after eventually coming back from his injury

  6. As a bengals fan, I’m super bummed y’all got Perine from us. Don’t sleep on him

  7. Absolutely we should try for Cook, or maybe Kareem Hunt if we can’t make the money work. The Broncos really should be trying to hedge Javonte’s return, and whatever we get from him is just a bonus.
