Next year roster/prospects spreadsheet MN and IA

Over the last couple months, I have spent a little time putting together a spreadsheet that lists all of the NHL players, most of the AHL players, and a good number of the prospects in the organization. I know I’m not the only one who likes to look to the future so I thought I would share it with you guys.

This is meant to be rather vanilla, and not really even a prediction of how lines will look. More of a “what we have to work with right now” look at the rosters and system. I did not bring back any UFAs, move on from any RFAs, or sign any external free agents in THIS version of the spreadsheet (I have my own versions that I will surely talk about later in the summer). I also didn’t trade away any current players or really shake-up the lines very much. You’ll notice that even with conservative estimates of what it will cost to re-sign our RFAs we are estimated to be over the cap just filling out a 13/7/2 roster, and if those RFAs are not re-signed, their spot will need to be replaced with an AHLer making 700-900k. My guess is that Gus will be the first domino, and we will see what happens from there.

I hope this will be a useful tool for a few other folk out there. Also, if there are any prospects in our system (signed or not) that you know of that I do not have listed PLEASE let me know.
