  1. We can blame the offense and Snit all we want but right now AA needs to pull his head from his ass. I don’t want to hear about moves not being able to be made in May because Tampa shuffles through arms every other day. Asking the team to have two bullpen games every five games when half of them stink is costing you big. He needs to jump on that IMMEDIATELY.

Who is the go to guy in this bullpen when the playoffs come to hand the ball to Iglesias? Imagine Yates or Jimenez in a rocking playoff crowd on the road. They may fall apart on the mound.

I don’t know what AA was smoking to trade his best OF prospect for a guy who is not coming from a winning background, with one good year under his belt, with only one year of control. Jimenez will likely be a disaster come postseason and the best we can hope for is AA tossing him in as a throw in on some deadline deal.

  2. Not gonna blame Snit or the bullpen when the offense has been cold the last three games.

On another note, I know one of y’all mentioned how some people here have no chance of lasting all 162 games. I think for those who can’t, go do other things you like doing to get your mind off baseball if it’s too much to handle worrying about whether the team is going to lose. Every baseball team goes through this every year, so this is nothing new, but if this aspect of watching is too difficult, just go find other things to do. Today for me, I had other things I needed to get done anyway. I needed to go on a walk because I needed the fresh air and exercise, I needed to clean my room since I’m moving in several weeks, I needed a haircut, and I needed groceries. Maybe you don’t have things you “have” to do, but just anything at all that can get your mind away from it if you feel you need that, go do whatever that is.

  3. It’s time to switch things up. The only person whose position in the lineup that should stay is Acuna.

  4. All I wanted today was a stiff drink, and a Braves win. Let’s just say I ain’t going 0 for 2. Fn BS 0 outs bases loaded, and you don’t score. Down our ace, and #3 starter and these dudes pulling this crap? So pissed right now😡

  5. Minter needs to be sent to the minors to get fixed, as he’s broken right now.

He alone is largely or completely responsible for 3 recent losses to the Marlins, Orioles and Jays.

  6. Title should read “Snit’s nepotism sends Braves in a downward spiral, again”

  7. I’d probably feel much better about our situation if this team wasn’t so damn overhyped. Rat Poison.

  8. Hopefully this team figures things out quickly otherwise this month is going to be a killer. Not the best time to be going cold right now.

  9. People shoving the struggling against only good teams narrative needs to step back and realize we’d struggle against the fucking A’s not scoring anyone with bases loaded/RISP while also giving up 2/3 runs in the 6th inning on, which has been the case in most of our losses. Whole team is in a slump.

We lead the majors in opportunities with bases loaded. Which you should feel good about. That’s actually impressive. What is not impressive is not cashing in. However you have to feel like that trend stops. Cant keep a great team like this down with RISP all season.

Bullpen needs to be looked at though, maybe moreso bullpen usage. AJ should be sent down for a bit, worked the last time we did it and we’re deep enough to go on a week without him. His stuff is too good to be misused.

  10. Given how Snit allowed KJ to figure it out last year after he continued to blow saves, I’m not holding my breath on changing things up with Minter for a while. Hard to watch the team continue to lose. Probably would have been blanked again if not for Ozuna. Oh well. Go Braves.

  11. I remember being excited about the bullpen when we added Luetge and Jimenez

  12. Some folks seem to think that Alex can easily take himself down to the starter and reliever store in May to get whatever he wants. Yeah, that’s not how that works.

  13. Olson and Riley are huge disappointments and they are the two highest paid guys on the team.

  14. I love the Braves, they will right the ship! Plenty of baseball left, plenty of hotdogs left to consume and $10 beer. Hell, I might even just get a job selling beer at the stadium.

  15. Need Brain Snitkers raid wide buff “Call a Team Meeting” so we can go on a 60 game win streak again.

  16. I get that Riley is a great player going through a slump right now, but that slump is hurting us at the top, where we are most productive. I’d really like to see him moved to the 5 or 6 spot and let one of our more productive hitters (preferably Arcia) currently move into the 2, move Olson back to 3 and keep Murphy at 4.

  17. Fuck it I’ll say it I miss Freddie Freeman, I love Matt Olson, really I do. But every time I see that damn DQ commercial I get pissed off. Dude looks stupid in a Dodgers uni. Unhappy, tastes like shit. Need my Braves to win!

  18. 25 LOB. I didn’t watch the game but I can see just from that that we had a stupid amount of chances to get plenty of runs across and just weren’t getting any timely hits. We’ve gone through these stretches already this season, usually after 2-3 games we go on another tear for 7-10 games so people need to just calm down.

  19. Since we need a starting pitcher I vote we sign Julio Teheran back, just for old time’s sake.

  20. The Blue Jays are tough and knocked us around in 2021 (?) too. This whole month is really tough, so fans are going to have to resist the urge to panic. We have problems and things to be addressed, but nothing right now that *can’t* be fixed. That said-

AJ really needs to be optioned to AAA at this point. He’s been given time to work it out as we go, but it still hasn’t worked. Let this go on and he may never come back from it. I don’t want that for him or us. We need him.

He was put in a bad spot to start the season and did his best until Raisel got back, but it seemed to mess him up. Hopefully a lower pressure environment could help.

The offense taking a near collective cat nap again is another problem.

  21. I understand that people are upset, but seasons are long and shit like this always happens, even to the best teams ever. We’re going to go on winning streak and we will lose a few in a row occasionally. That’s just how the MLB works.

Yes, the bullpen is a concern, but our offense is going to have off days. Also, we’re missing two aces, they will get back even if it takes a while. Not even a week ago people were commenting on how good we are and a few losses doesn’t change that. Everything will be fine. We still have the third best record in baseball.

Now if we are playing this way post ASB then that’s when it starts to get concerning, but right now we should feel good about our team. We weren’t this good at this point the year we won the WS or last year so try to keep some perspective because we’ll be alright.

    We always are.
