  1. A coach worse than the one we just fired. And yeah, we ain’t getting Nurse or Lue. This team seems weirdly disinterested in both. I just don’t get it

  8. This seems like a lateral move, but there are worse people they could be aggressively pursuing. I’m still surprised we haven’t seen Nurse, Hammon or the other obvious candidates mentioned. Hopefully they’re just playing it close to the best.

  10. Idk man, maybe Monty might work better for the Buck if he wasn’t around chokers like CP3 and quitters like Ayton, Jae or coach killer like KD.

    Monty has shown that he can be very good in the playoff if his team is willing to buy into his system. He did implement some really good ball movements system back in 2021-2022 before Phoenix blown up their depths and replaced it with iso KD.

    Now that’s being said, dude is still not some proven lv playoff coaches like Pop, Spo or Nurse

  13. I’ve secretly been hoping we go after Monty the second PHO announced his dismissal. I seen so many people call him the one coach that Bud outcoached in the playoffs and kept my feelings to myself. I also think Monty is Giannis’ choice as well and if Monty is Giannis’ guy that’s who we should get. Last thing we need is an egomaniac like George Karl to come in and run your Franchise player out of town.

    Monty took over a PHO team that only won 19 games the season before he arrived and within 2 years lead them to the Finals. I think that franchise is nuts for blaming this years performance on the coach when they traded half the team away for a Star player that only played 8 games for him before the playoffs. No chemistry and no depth and not Monty’s fault.

  17. I think this is in part because Giannis respects Monty, I mean he took him into the Bucks locker room after we won the finals so he could speak to the team. Don’t think it’s the best choice but if Giannis wants it then who am I to disagree

  24. Only good thing I see about Monty is that he’d speak up on the occasions Giannis gets hosed by the refs

  25. This is the next coach – whether you like it our not. Been my opinion since we let Bud go. When the Bucks won the championship and Monty came into the locker room, Giannis spoke up and told everyone to listen. That moment right there showed his respect for him as a person. This is the guy Giannis will want which isn’t the only important voice – but it’s pretty damn important.

  29. I suggest folks watch the highlights of the 2021 Finals again if you have questions about this. Check out the ball movement and the plays.

    Imagine if we had a coach that knew how to get a working PNR with giannis and/or brook. Think about how many times CP3 had an easy open floater on the PNR or had Ayton wide open for the dunk.

    Just because we won doesn’t mean Monty wasn’t doing some awesome stuff. We just happened to have a Greek freak.
