  1. Obviously, Ryu has to clear a lot of milestones before any of this speculation is useful or matters, and this all very much depends on how each SP looks when he seems good to go, but as a bit of fun; who would Ryu replace in the order if he’s MLB ready post-All Star break?

  2. This is exciting news, I hope they can both return in July then, they could be great deadline additions.

  3. I’m so excited at the prospect of Ryu coming back even if it’s only for a few games. I’d love to see him in a Jays uni one more time. His arrival marked a turning point for our franchise.

  4. Wow. Best low-key underreported news I’ve seen a while. Really excited to see green at some point. Maybe we get 2020 Ryu too? He doesn’t have to peak early.. mid-late September is just fine..

  5. When the surgery was announced, most fans and media were under the impression that the Ryu era had likely ended in Toronto. For him to come back when the season isn’t even halfway done would be nothing short of a miracle.

Part of me wonders if the stats dip was due to nagging injuries. If he can consistently deliver quality, he’d be perfect as a multiple inning reliever.

  6. I think a lot of people worry HARD about our bullpen while forgetting we have these guys (hopefully) on the way. Not going to fix everything, but it’s damn sure to help!
