Ben Sheets ain’t walkin through that door, folks
Our RDiff is currently +7 and we are 8 games under .500.
#The St. Louis Cardinals are an American professional baseball team based in St. Louis. The Cardinals compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) Central division.
Flaherty haters in shambles
I’m going to need one of those apology forms for Jack

# WON 7 OF OUR LAST 8
A man opens a door to find Tyler O’Neill swinging wildly with a bad back with two guys named Paul and another two guys named Nolan standing behind him watching on helplessly while some other guy named after a chocolate bar cheers him on. Then you notice a 45 year old throwing a 60 mile per hour fastball at you, finally notice Contreras trying to fix your crooked door frame while FaceTiming Molina and being blamed by Mo for the faulty construction. We are the danger.
I am truly enraged. The Cardinals got Arenado from the Rockies for a song. The Rockies are PAYING the Cardinals to take him. And then he doesn’t even opt out of his WAY undermarket deal to make them add a year or some more cash? What even the fck.
Statement made: keep first place warm, because we’re coming.

The St. Louis Cardinals heroes of the game, per win probability added:
1. Nolan Arenado, 22% WPA
2. Jack Flaherty, 21% WPA
3. Nolan Gorman, 5% WPA
[WPA](https://library.fangraphs.com/misc/wpa/) measures the change in probability of winning a game per plate appearance/batter faced and assigns each player credit based on their contributions during the game. It doesn’t take into account fielding.
Well that was a decent offensive performance
That was a damn fun game, best of the year so far. Pitching. Tons of offense. what more can one ask for

The beatings will continue until the standings improve
Drinks are ~~60¢~~ ~~30¢~~ 15¢ tomorrow!
9 runs yesterday, 18 runs today. We’re either scoring 27 runs or getting no hit tomorrow. No in between
We’re going to win the division aren’t we?
Best part? We only used two pitchers.
And Tommy hit a home run
And so did Nolan. Both of them. I guess Knizer did too.And Noot sent a message to the Umps that we aren’t afraid of them
Also we won by like at least four runs.
Overall there was a lot to like tonight.
Useless fact:
Andrew Knizner now has more grand slams at Busch Stadium than Matt Adams
I know it’s trite, but it was good to watch that game today. It’s been a shitty start to the week – a dear friend is fighting for her life in the ICU, my wife and I are the only ones who can be there for her and we’re both sick too, plus have our two small kids to take care of, it’s just upended our world. And in the greater scheme of things a baseball game doesn’t matter. But it was nice to watch Jack strike some fools out, the Nolans crush some Brewers pitching, and to see the Cards look really good for an evening, and to get my mind out of the spiral it’s been in for the past two days. Even better to be following along with the other folks here and feel just a bit of community in the midst of this hell.
So thank you all, go Cards, and see you tomorrow.
