  1. Sad sad times in Oakland. It’s not the fans not caring about the team it’s the fans being fed up with how they’ve been treated this past decade plus

  2. How many of the 2,064 are Diamondback fans, family/friends of the players, people on cross country tours trying to see all the parks without rooting for a specific team, etc.? Seems like that would be a huge chunk of the audience at this point.

  3. More than double that at the high-A Vancouver Canadians game last Wednesday night

  4. Shocking anyone attends. Been there and this is a brutally painful experience.

  5. Rickey’s rookie year (and mine–born Sept. 1979). He wasn’t quite electric yet, but it’s a shame so few were there to watch him.

  6. Who in their right mind thinks giving John Fisher $400 million is a good idea? He has never demonstrated any interest in putting any sort of effort into making that franchise better.

  7. How many stadium staff is there. I want to know if there were more people paid to be there or people who paid to be there.

  8. May as well up the ticket and parking prices again. Let’s set some records before profit sharing season.

  9. What are concessions like in the stadium? Do they even bother opening most of the stalls?

  10. As baseball fans, we should all be ashamed of MLB for allowing this catastrophic ownership to hijack our once great club and do what they’ve done. This is a complete disgrace to the integrity of the game.

  11. And the taxpayers in Nevada are about to subsidize them to the tune of $1.5BIL. Makes no sense.

  12. Eno Sarris said in a recent podcast that he and some analyst were doing rough counts of the crowd this year and got around 1000 a few times.

  13. Oakland fans… I’m so sorry for y’all. I’m pissed on your behalf that your owner has decided running the team into the ground and saying “we’ll move on” is the way they’ve gone. I’ve seen rumors of panthers/bobcats potentially leaving over the years and I know what the rumors feel like- but I hate to see such a historic team leaving that city. It’s shameful that they haven’t dedicated money into re-signing. It’s shameful they haven’t upgraded or decided to rebuild in Oakland. I love having Matt Olsen and Sean Murphy on the Braves. I hate that y’all gave them away. Same with Matt Chapman. The refusal to re-sign talent is abhorrent. Shameful organizational tactics. Fuck the A’s front office. I hope you guys can land an expansion team soon- or get this shit reversed somehow some way- and I hope you are able to get an owner and front office who care about your city and want to be a part of it.

  14. If they get the attendance below 2 people, it will be impossible for the fans to have public sex on the 400 level.

  15. What’s the point of showing up for 1. A losing squad and 2. A team that’s leaving?

  16. I work for a AAA team and that’s considered a low attendance at our little park, I can only imagine how desolate it must feel in the colosseum

  17. There was exactly one minor league professional baseball game played in North America tonight.

    The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks drew 2,789
