This isn’t ideal
The Mets have gone 50 innings without a home run.
Pete Alonso hit their last home run last Wednesday in Cincinnati.

Brother this can’t be true, everyone says the offense is OK…
You will not win many games in this era of baseball without hitting home runs. The Mets have 48 hits in this span. Our opponents have 46. We have gone 2-3.
Fuck bring up Vientos to see if he is for real. Sit Vogelbomb because DHs are paid to hit extra base hits and drive in runs.
Almost like the Mets saw the winning strategy being adopted by everyone and said “nah”
We have one homerun hitter… it was the problem with a really good offense last year that wasn’t fixed this year. We had a lot of holes because of FA this offseason, but we ignored DH (I know Vogelbach has been solid), but that was a pretty big misstep. Another misstep was going into the season 4 ancient starting pitchers and the 5th being a complete wildcard. This is not a surprising result.
We are in desperate need of a David Ortiz-like DH for this organization.
Well Vogelback walks and gets on base as a DH so….
