  1. I don’t ever want to see Peterson in a Mets starting lineup again. Dude just doesn’t have it.

  2. maaannnnn i’m gonna really miss him 🙁

he made it so easy to turn games off early and get sleep

  3. David Peterson will have his day again. It will be sometime this season. He just needs to get right.

And for him to do that the Mets need to decide if they want him to become a back of the rotation SP or if they want him to become an above average multi-inning RP or LHP specialist.

I’ve seen so many top top LHP prospects (Peterson isn’t one of them) fail at SP and then become stud LRP’s. There’s no harm as an organization deciding if that’s the route to go.

Not saying he can’t start. I’m just saying they need to commit to one or the other. And in my personal opinion the T-Will/Lugo, LRP option might be the better way to go.

  4. The inevitable has arrived, good luck up in Syracuse Peterson!

Edit: Can’t wish a good guy good luck up in AAA without getting downvoted, huh?

  5. hope david can bounce back. as in bounce back to college and get that degree

  6. Ok high key I’m really confused by the gross hate he is getting. People are acting like he flipped off the fans or said something in the media.

He was good in 2020 and 2022 and is objectively awful this year. But I can’t for the life of me understand why people are saying he should be cut, or “fuck him” or “I hate him”

  7. RHP Jimmy Yacabonis has been placed on a rehab assignment with Double-A Binghamton.

One more bit of news today as well

  8. Personally I would have optioned him to The Fucking Sun but that’s just me

  9. The next guy in our team’s long and storied history of lefty relievers named Josh.

  10. There are two possible theories.

On one side, David is in his 3rd season. The league has accumulated enough info on him to guess his tendencies. It’s either that, or he has been unwittingly tipping his pitches of late.

On the other side, and this is turning into a possible reaction to any Met who gets lit up as badly as Peterson has of late, he might be trying to play through an injury, and try to be a bulldog, a lefty Scherzer, if you will.

Which do you guys think it might be?
