  1. You’re absolutely correct. But, I think most of us are still upset.

2 through 5, really didn’t matter to me. Scoot is a bad fit, there’s something about Miller that I don’t trust. Whitmore or Amen could end up the second best player from this draft, and one of them will be there at 5.

Also, Taylor Hebdricks is going to be a very good pro. So, it’s not the worst thing in the world. But, nobody enjoys have shit luck.

  2. After getting annoyed reading everyone else’s stupid rationalizations of a bad lottery result, I went to bed, and woke up this morning with my own stupid rationalization.

Here it is: Not landing in the top three was a blessing.

Without the #1 pick, we avoid the risk of drafting a unicorn (unicorns don’t exist in the real world, meaning Wemby could easily bust out or be injury prone, based on his height Vs his thin frame).

Without the #2 pick, we avoid the risk of adding arguably the third lottery point guard pick for the same team in the last three years. Not a good fit.

Without the #3 pick, we avoid the risk of bringing in a young man who, despite people falling in love with his game and his fit on this roster, intentionally brought a gun to a teammate to kill someone. This sub has grossly overlooked how bad his behavior/judgment was on that night, the baggage (lawsuits), and the real potential he’s a bad character guy, who will do it again, ala Morant.

With the #5 pick, we are pretty much assured to get a solid small forward, which is the real position of need on this team.

    How’s that?!?
