[Cassavell] The Padres’ clubhouse remains shuttered to media long after the final out. Could be some form of players meeting ongoing inside.

Ships better be getting burnt
Rip into them
Mental toughness is the obvious issue here. They’re clearly overthinking and putting too much pressure on themselves. Just chill tf out.
I think they were just trying to make their dinner reservations after the game. Don’t want to get caught on that Coronado bridge traffic
Dennis Lin tweeted they are having a closed doors meeting.
Good. There needs to be some serious accountability framework in place
Ok…
This isn’t new. During the Manny era when things were good he would lead the squad to talk to the media.
When things were bad like in 2019 and 2021 he kept out of the media, in fact the whole offense would stay quiet. Only Stammen and Pagan dared to speak on the team’s fallout. And I know, them 2 weren’t pivotal to the team, but it at least showed they accepted accountability, which I know many ppl here don’t want to hear, but Machado and accountability haven’t meshed. So, if he’s the “leader” of the team, a team culture will reflects on “leadership,” and shy away when things are tough.
Martinez walks in unaware, wearing his Tatis getup…
We need Manny or Xander, two veterans who the players respect, to be real leaders. Every single day. Leading by example, taking preparation before games seriously, etc. Encouraging guys who are struggling, be there for them. Baseball doesn’t have a quarterback, but I think you need people to take that role to become a good baseball team
Way to bust a Dillon brooks but at the same time it’s the same redundant bs!
Changes need to be made
