    We don’t want to trade you. We would love for you to be a lifelong Blazer. But you’re on the wrong side of 30 and now starting to show all the mileage you put on that body. If you want us to trade all our picks and mortgage the entire future in trades for guys you want to play with then I don’t know if we’re going to move forward here. Because the last thing I want is a series of 6-8 seed first round exits and then you retiring and leaving us with jack shit to build the next era with.

  21. dame’s the one throwing out ultimatums about forcing us to trade our best draft asset in nearly 2 decades for a “win now” guy that’ll completely deplete our team and cap us as 1st round, MAYBE 2nd round fodder. i’d be happy to keep #3 AND keep dame, but apparently according to some in here that makes me “disrespectful” lol. i’m a blazers fan first, not a dame fan first. some of y’all are showing it’s all about dame above the blazers and that’s okay, but don’t pretend otherwise.

  25. From a logical perspective, I don’t know how it would even be possible. He would only want to play for a contender, and contenders aren’t able to offer the draft capital we’d want. Their FRPs are gonna be shitty bottom 10 picks for years, so we’d be shit/mediocre for a decade.

  26. I’m probably one of those fans….. Hear me out, a big reason is I love watching Damian Lillard and I want to see him win and succeed. Unfortunately, I just don’t think that’s possible with the current Blazers roster. Frankly, I don’t have faith they’ll be able to use this 3rd pick to build a championship roster in the next few years.

    Dame is only gonna get older, trade him now, so he can be the superstar we love somewhere else, meanwhile Portland can be in a better position to build for the future.

    That being said, if Dame were to be traded, he better not be traded to another losing organization. That would piss me off.

People think the idea of watching a combo of anfernee, sharpe, and Miller or scoot would be great but you have zero idea how long it would take to pan out for one.   30. Want is a strong word. I love seeing Dame. But I am also realistic. He aint getting younger and the blazers are a mess. 3rd is a strong pick but it’s not enough to assemble a championship caliber team around Dame.

    I would seriously explore moving Dame.

  45. Calling people who want to trade Damian idiots, trolls, or not legit blazer fans is some weak shit. People are allowed to have a different opinion on the direction of the franchise. There’s obvious reasons for both a rebuild and retooling around Dame. The keep Dame side is just getting really defensive all the sudden.
