Unfortunate to see my canes lose tonight (this morning?), but what a treat to see it live. This is going to be one hell of a series

Go panthers
I watched this game and really had no preference to who won. I’m a Stars fan. That being said, Carolina didn’t deserve to even be in overtime. The referees screwed that game up, big time. The first period penalty call while Carolina was already on the power play causing an extended 5 on 3 situation and a Carolina goal was complete nonsense. HORRIBLE call. It not only shocked me, but also the other 29 people in the room watching. The only reason they had overtime was because the refs gave Carolina a free goal.
Ok, now in overtime. Florida scores in overtime 1 and wins…except the refs aren’t done yet. Goalie interference? If you know anything about hockey and watched that play over and over in slow motion, every single rational person says no way not even close. I don’t care if it was the Stars getting the refs gifts, I would say the same thing. Although the final ended up correctly, the refs in this game don’t need to return.
As a Sharks fan, 4OT still haunts me. Just when I thought they could force game 7 after winning games 4 and 5. 😢
Turco the poor man lost two of them
