  1. We had 6 AB with a man on 2nd in the 9th and 10th and struck out 5 times

Vlad also flew out on the first pitch of the outlier

  2. We ventured bravely into victory’s vicious jaws, and deftly snatched sweet defeat from its clutches.

  3. I can’t believe how bad they were in the 8th and 9th. It’s not unreasonable to expect your contending team to close out a 5-2 lead against a divisional rival. Ugly ugly loss.

  4. Well that is a frustrating way to lose a game

Swanson went from untouchable to a mess in a week

  5. Schneider made some spicy decisions in that game… and they weren’t good ones

  6. This game is on John Schneider and his obsession of taking pitchers out with 2 outs. Makes absolutely no sense. It just truly baffles me the decisions me makes.

  7. Swanson/Romano vs Canó/Bautista

It’s not even close. Puts things into perspective.

  8. Downvote all you want but I’ve seen enough of schneider he needs to go

  9. Ugly game. Manoah talking shit with a 5.50ERA, Schneider’s blunder, Romano, and those at bats the last 2 innings

  10. For some reason the AL East standings are listing the teams in reverse order, very strange

  11. Complete inability to cash in RISP game after game after game after game after game after game after game…

  12. 1-9 in last 10 against Al east and people still think this team is special? We’re in 5 th in the standings with one of the worst farm systems in the game. Disaster start for the whole org.

  13. Ugh.

Sports fandom has kinda sucked for the last few weeks with the Oilers (and Leafs for a lot of you) going out and the Jays slump.

  14. I mean, sure, Romano probably gets that save in that situation 9/10 but… why bring him in to replace our best reliver? It’s a move that has literally no upside. You’re just asking a guy to throw a several pitches, go sit down, then get up again in the 9th.

Schneider needs to stop thinking he’s some kind of managerial mastermind.

  15. 5-11 vs. the AL East, and 1-9 in our last ten. At some point, this team really needs to put its big boy pants on.

  16. 8 games out of first and officially last in the division. I’m truly shocked and sad at how mediocre our season has been and is shaping up to be.

They HAVE to find it in the next few games or we’re going to see a very tough uphill battle throughout the summer. That’s not doomer, that’s reality. When you constantly lose to the division you pretty much dig your own grave.

  17. Well that was atrocious. Those late innings were fucking embarrassing for a team that fancies itself a contender.

Good thing we’ve got 75% of the season remaining cuz woo boy do we need it.

  18. For a team that loves to pound their chest about speed and small ball. They sure love to abandon their philosophy when it matters. Absolutely trash play.

  19. Not sure how anyone is still encouraged by the play of this team right now. It is not a “doomer” opinion to think that this team is not doing well.

  20. This game really started to slide after Schneider had that brain fart of a 2nd mound visit

  21. Nobody’s criticizing Atkins yet? What’s the deal with this sub dancing around the fact that the team is in pretty horrible shape after 6-7 years with him in charge?
