11. He was batting less than .100 but I feel like he wasn’t really given much chance, he still did the things he was asked to do pretty well for the most part. Moniak just came up and performed too well and he quickly became the odd man out. Well, good luck to him, hope he’s given another chance somewhere as he’s a really cool guy.

19. I remember getting downvoted to hell for saying Moniak should be on the team after his great and Brett’s terrible spring training. Let’s be honest Brett was never able to hit with us no matter how many people insisted he was a ‘good hitter over his career’. But he has other qualities like being a hype guy and really great with the fans. Plus that one game he won for us single-handedly despite not getting a hit! I wish him all the best. Him being on the team did not hurt us at all the way he was used. It’s just that Moniak is the much better player and a guy we need especially when you consider how injury prone our outfield has been.

21. Anyone upset by this is thinking with their heart. If you’re trying to field a competitive and winning team you can’t have Brett Phillips around. He’s a great guy and has an amazing vibe, but Moniak can do everything Phillips could do and better.
