  1. Not a good look to get blown out with Strider vs a rookie at home. My goodness we are a mess right now.

  2. I said I would donate money to the Ozzie Albies Foundation if the Braves won this series, so obviously the Dodgers hate charity and animals.

  3. Braves offense isn’t efficient, starting pitching is hurt, bullpen is a mess.

  4. We need something good to feel about right now, so:

“Michael Soroka had a very encouraging outing on Tuesday evening:

    6 IP, 2H, 1R, 1ER, 3BB, 8K
    (96 pitches/58 strikes)”

  5. So what if we find Nathan and use him to ritualistically cleanse the team?

  6. Dodgers crushing The Braves without Kershaw or Urias pitching in this series is disheartening.

  7. Nothing about this team is impressive right now, outside of Elder and Acuña. And even Acuña is mortal at home.

Tomorrow will be Elder’s biggest test against a veteran lineup. Hope the offense decides to help.

  8. although we lost i had a hell of a time at the stadium. seeing jhey and freeman again reminded me of when i first saw them play on the myrtle beach pelicans

  9. because of baseball reasons i feel like Elder throws an 8 inning shuttie tmr

whole NLEAST took a shit today this is a random series in may dont worry about it

  10. Same old fucking Braves, just rolling over to a mediocre team with a good record. This season is going to be a major fucking disappointment, I can feel it

  11. Now we send Elder to the wolves tomorrow hoping he can be our stopper to prevent our 3rd sweep of the year already.

Don’t really care that it’s the Dodgers so it’s okay. Don’t really care that it would take legitimate cataclysmic cosmic intervention for us to miss the playoffs.

The team look so out of tune anytime we play good teams is disconcerting no matter how much you try to skirt around it. And this *is the team*. There’s no magic fix coming.

  12. Outside of one very very very important series where Rosario and Matzek became monsters, the Dodgers have straight up owned this team for years. They consistently outcoach, out field, out hit and out execute these guys.

Why the shit do we have four guys in the bullpen that all do the same thing in McHugh, Luetge, Chavez and Tonkin? They all serve as long guys and we only need two max. I understand you can’t completely upgrade the bullpen now but Rios and Young are two guys who should be on the ML roster. You aren’t doing Minter any favors keeping him up right now when he can be in the minors getting right for the stretch run. I mean who in our bullpen would you trust to get key outs in a playoff game right now to get us into the 9th inning? Maybe Anderson and that’s it. So many high leverage holes out there.

The good news about the Astros and Dodgers shining a ten foot mirror on the weaknesses is that it is May, but those quick bullpen moves can be made right now to improve this team until the deadline. AA has to toughen up and make some decisions.

  13. Its May and we are 29-19. In 2021 we were under .500 still in august.

the rest of our division is trash, so we are treading water while we have no pitching (and just look at our schedule, this stretch has been insane).

We are missing two really good pitchers. Which, to be fair, does make losing when Charlie and Strider are on the mound a little more painful.

Some of y’all really need to get off the Freddie shit. He is gone. He was never going to re-sign here, and we got the next best option, and a lot of y’all have allowed that to cloud your judgement. Olson has been fine, offensively and defensively, but he is a vastly different player than Freddie and because he doesn’t have as high of a batting average, you guys just hate him (I do agree that I don’t think he should be in the 2-hole though, at least against lefties). But he still has a borderline elite OBP and is slugging over .500.

I think Soroka gets the start Sunday and I think he gets a bigger standing O than FF did last year.

  14. As long as we can keep our heads above water while we recover from our slew of injuries we’ll be okay, the rest of the East is worse off than us rn so I think it’ll work out in our favor

  15. Happy to see us beat below 500 teams while we put up stinkers against playoff bound teams. Keeps that false hope steady

  16. Two glaring issues this team needs to address if they want to have a proper run when October comes:

    – Batting approach. This team lives and dies by the long ball and struggles to manufacture runs. No homer, no runs. That’s a pretty big issue there, because often the teams that do better in the postseason are the ones that know how to play small ball and this team certainly has the speed and the talent to do it. Not everything has to be a homer, you don’t have to swing for the fences everytime. And if you’re in a slump, doing it probably won’t be the answer. It’s an issue that becomes increasingly annoying when we have Freddie in town because he’s the kind of hitter we don’t have right now.

    – No bullpen guy to go to: Two years ago it was Matzek, last year it was Minter. This year it was Lee for a few games and now the closest thing to it is Nick Anderson. Aside from Iglesias, there’s not a guy in that bullpen I’d trust to give the ball to if I want a scoreless inning. It’s kind of funny, because it’s not like this bullpen has a meltdown every night, they’re actually good. But I just don’t trust any of the guys in there right now. No more bullpen games, please. Like O’Flaherty said today 0n the 755 podcast, bullpen games fuck up relievers’ rhythm. Sort out the bullpen, pick up roles and give the guys in there some certainty.

  17. I… have never seen this Cubs singalong before and I think I will pass on seeing it again. What. 😂

  18. Oh and a couple other thoughts that are outside of the team’s control.

I don’t know if Spencer talks on the mound, or if he has said something that pissed off some umps, but he gets royally fucked every start. I mean the second inning literally should have been over when he struck out Mookie, but the ump decided it was a ball and he gives up 2 more runs.

And somehow when the ump scorecard comes out, it will magically say “Braves +7.8 runs” or some stupid shit. I trust those scorecards less and less after every game. I know how the calculations work, but it does not weigh situations properly in my opinion.

  19. Do the clowns understand we are missing two really good starters? Calm the fuck down already. Jesus…it’s not even June yet. Clowns!

  20. Usual suspects in here spewing delusional negativity, but, no, the dodgers are not better than we are because they won a couple games in May.

  21. It’s okay! The rest of the NL East doesn’t want to win today either

  22. Smoked! Costly errors and situational hitting. Outclassed past 2 games.

  23. Looks like the whole NL East is gonna lose. We can all be dogshit together

  24. Braves offered Dansby 100/6 but signed Aricia to 7/3 meaning there’s 14 mil out there we were willing to spend. Let’s go out and buy some pitchers with that. 680 talking today that Tehran is being floated as a guy to bring in. That’s trash if true. Liberty needs to stop being so damn cheap. Park packed every series making money out the ass on food beer and merch. Put it back into the team.

  25. fill the lineup with guys who can give you competitive ABs. You gotta make a way for Pillar and Travis D to be in the lineup, because what you’re getting from CF right now is laughable

  26. I fucking hate the Dodgers. Like so much because outside of the 2021 NLCS, they fucking own us. Playing them sucks man.
