[Athletic Alchemy] What is Klay’s Future with the Warriors?

i believe klay is a normal human and thats what we like about him
2022 was an emotional overload for him
2023 he was a bit privileged in his mindset and he got reality checked by the end of the playoffs
2024 we will see an evolution of late stage klay in the ways Kerr outlined for him
If we pay klay 25m+ you can kiss any chance at another ring goodbye for this era
Dont necessarily agree with all of what was said. I don’t think he’s actually thinking he’ll get a max because he also said previously how grateful he is that he got paid and wasn’t traded when he was injured. I do think it would be much better to find a way to extend him this summer because rather than let him wait because as much as it kind of did good to Draymond, I don’t think Klay would deal well with that pressure.
& yes he is an “I” player but he himself also spoke about evolving his game after ASB, I think he’s open to it more than people realize
What made the Warriors special was their efficiency.
Klay Thompson is now a high volume high variance shooter. He’s not going to like it but 20M-22M a year is the max they can go or it’s better to trade him now and get assets.
He got burnt out having to carry the offense for months when Curry and Wiggins were out. He was never the same after that.
Our team lacked depth all year, so im not surprised our lack of depth was the main reason we were eliminated.
