Same thing Payne did last year and they got a deal done and he had a good season.

Really like Kam. But he’s looking to get paid and deserves a nice contract. But he probably won’t get what he wants with us, especially after this last draft. Can’t blame him though. 7th round draft choice and he’s been playing at an elite level since day 1.
If the rumors about him wanting top dollar are true, I would expect to prepare for life without him.
Between Forrest, Reaves, and the drafting of Quan Martin, I think they would feel comfortable about moving on…… I wouldn’t, but I think they would.
I know people keep saying he wants to get PAID, but wasn’t that rumor just started because of a tweet his dad made? To my knowledge he hasn’t publicly stated anything contract related. I’m sure he wants to be paid what he’s worth, but maybe it’s not gonna be as bad as people think.
I think Payne last year, and Curl this year not fully participating has more to do with not getting injured in voluntary OTA’s in a contract year than anything else.
