[Cassavell] Drew Pomeranz had what Bob Melvin called “a cleanup surgery in his elbow” yesterday. No timetable for his return, but Melvin said the expectation is that the rehab won’t be all that long. Team is still hopeful Pomeranz pitches meaningful innings down the stretch.

  1. Pitch meaningful innings in what year, what league and and at what level though?

  2. Guy’s gonna be on the IL all season until he comes in during game 7 of the World Series and pitches an immaculate inning.

  3. Worse contract: Hoz or Pomz? Its close but I vote Pomz. 34 million for 45 innings. That’s almost a million per inning.

  4. Won’t even call this a bad contract yet it is the textbook definition of pure bad luck.

  5. I’m tired of this guy. He is not coming back. He is just collecting checks.

  6. This is my favorite storyline this season. Such a rollercoaster all the time. Kinda concerned they didn’t notice enough to do the “clean up” surgery until now though.
