I had this crazy thought the other day about the officiating in game 3. I really felt like the Celtics were gonna come out and play hard and win that game easily and likely even get a friendly whistle, because the NBA is semi-rigged and the Celtics were down 0-2. But the opposite happened – they got a really tight whistle (while the Heat didn’t) and they totally unraveled and lost easily. But then they played well in game 4 and won. This next game is kinda pivotal as I think the Celtics don’t have any real hope in this series until they win this game. Winning this game will at least swing the momentum back a bit in their direction and put a lot of pressure on Miami.
So it will not surprise me at all if the Celtics get a favorable whistle tonight and r/NBA talks about how much the refs favor the Celtics every series (no idea where that made up notion even comes from lol) and they are just extending it to give Boston a chance. Which would probably be at least partially true.
I’m hoping that refs pushing series is a real thing. I don’t think it would be profitable for the nba to have no games for a week so I hope if we can’t do it ourselves maybe the refs will be on our side tonight
