[Hoop Collective Podcast] They’ve interviewed a ton of coaches and it’s not clear what direction they’re gonna go, they’ve gotta make a decision about keeping these guys together and that’ll influence the coach you’ll hire

This was in terms of general NBA trade talks on their podcast:

  1. For some reason, what’s obvious to the rest of the league, escapes this FO and it’s followers.

  2. Masai is gonna bring in this new coach and then act shocked when a team that starts three players who can’t shoot is struggling.

  3. Even if the FO likes to keep things secret, they still need to show we have leadership and a clear direction.

This whole keeping options open and trying to compete and develop guys, and actually achieving none of the above while managing minimal communications to the fan base is not a good look.

  4. I think the direction is pretty clear… We want to win and compete because that is what sports is about, and we want to focus on internal growth, and winning, and give this core a platform to succeed and win, and be flexible to retool and keep winning, and acquire assets and top level talent through picks and trades and free agency because that’s what it takes to win, and also maintain continuity with the roster so we keep winning, and tank and play in FOR WHAT? Except when it’s convenient.

  5. This is what media comes up with when they can’t get leaks. “They can’t make a decision!!”

  6. Sounds about right, they’ve been direction less and evaluating since 2020
