  1. Will Smith, Kenley Jansen and now Kimbrel getting saves against us. When are we facing the DBacks so Melancon can get his chance too?.

Jimenez has to get his shit together. He was a costly trade and he’s a free agent at the end of the season.

  2. Acuna is now 3 for his last 20 since the start of the Dodgers series and has 0 HR and 0 RBIs since the Rangers series. He’s ice cold.

  3. *-is it weird I don’t care that we lost tonight?*

Friends, we’re going be just fine, through the next few months of highs and lows, make no mistake we are in the post season.

To me, the REAL wins are:

    -Never getting swept

-Taking or @ least splitting a series

    -No more injuries

    -Guys getting hot

-Pressure testing AAA pitchers now vs. later

    Love you all XO

  4. My theory on the bullpen is AA puts himself in a corner by playing the IL manipulation game to keep guys on the roster for reasons I don’t understand. Did it with Tomlin two years ago and O’Day last year. I guess guys that have endeared themselves to the organization so he doesn’t want to DFA them. I believe the same to be true of Tonkin and Luetge.

AJ should clearly be in AAA getting his mind right and Jiminez has no place on a competitive team. He is your classic guy that can compete for a last place team with no expectations. Luetge doesn’t have the stuff to be on a MLB roster.

Just a big mess down there and it seems like there’s no big hurry to correct the issue.

  5. If someone offered me 1-1 split with Shuster and Dodd going I would have definitely taken it. Just the way we lost tonight made it so frustrating.

  6. In my opinion, a hitter like Arcia swinging at the first pitch from a walk-prone Kimbrel is bad baseball. 2 run game with bases empty.

It’s not the only example of bad situational offense tonight, either. Some of the stuff there’s just no excuse for but it feels like it never stops happening. Major league players should be able to run the bases. Our opponents never fuck up on the base paths, and we do something memorably stupid on the bases once every series (at least).

  7. Acuña needs to get back on the road. This homestand is hurting his numbers too much.

I hate that anti-clutch label is attached to Acuña. Venezuelan fans called him out during the WBC, and Braves fans do it on a consistent basis.

Outside of the 8th and 9th innings this year, he’s been pretty solid overall. Just needs to have that one big late innings hit.

  8. It’s like the whole game just took a nosedive once Snit took Schuster out…I’m far from a Snit hater, but that was a real head scratcher and it was a clear line of demarcation in the game…also fuck these umpires

  9. Michael Harris played really well today. I hope this is the turn around for him.

  10. Bad bullpen blowup with every opportunity to tie it back up, but it still felt winnable down to the last pitch. Love that about this team. Good for Kimbrel too.

  11. Unfortunate night for Ronnie to go 0-5 against some pretty hittable pitchers. Had his chances to help us drive in some key runs. It happens.

I want bullpen shake ups. I want Luetge DFA’d. I wanna see Yacksel Rios. Give us reason to believe we’re doing more than crossing our fingers and closing our eyes when you throw these guys out there because right now all the Middle Inning guys are fucking useless.

We cannot keep running this group of relievers out there night after night until the end of July. There’s no way our bullpen should be a bigger point of concern than our rotation when we’ve lost Max and Kyle for two+ months lol. It’s pathetic.

  12. 23 Bullpen is reminding me of the 21 Outfield. Need a mid-season revamp.

  13. I know not everyone in the bullpen is going to be lights out every night and you need long relievers just like you need a closer… but Jiminez and Luetge have looked bad all season. Using them back to back is something I will never understand. And pulling Shuster when he only needed one more out in the inning is something I don’t get either.

  14. We are almost 1/3 the way through the season and just lost our 20th game. That’s still pretty good.

Just gotta bounce back tomorrow and get a W.

  15. Feels like Minter, Jimenez, Luetge and Tonkin are racing to the bottom

  16. Ballys twitter of Snitker postgame gets cutoff right when he’s answering about pulling Shuster – all I got was ” yeah, he had done his job”. He needed to be grilled on that a little more.

  17. It’s weird that two ex Braves closers have hit 400 career saves against the Braves at Truist this month… 8 guys to do it in MLB history, and two of them did it in the same ballpark in the same month against a team they used to play for.

  18. Fuck Jimenez
    Fuck Loogie/Lutgy/whatever the fuck
    Fuck Minter
    Fuck Don Mattingly

  19. Snit using Minter, Jimenez and Luetge in close games is a serious problem. He needs to understand you use your best pitcher in tough spots not just late innings. I wonder how many wins we’d have if he didn’t manage the pen like a 5 year old learning chess.

  20. I feel like the fact that Eddie is just kind of… bad is flying under the radar a bit. Every time the dude gets a few XBHs his contribution seems to get blown out of proportion. I.E. “you think Eddie is the problem? He just hit that double 2 nights ago”.

It would be interesting if we had one more guy who would walk, hit some singles, and work counts to pass the baton. Having tons of free swingers packed into the bottom of our lineup hurts us in games like tonight. Eddie would hypothetically be the easiest one to replace.

I say kick off the Ozuna LF experiment so TdA can start DHing. If the Phillies can play Schwarber in LF, Ozuna can survive in LF until the 7th/8th inning before Pillar comes in.

  21. Jimenez’s ERA is nowhere near where it should be. At 4.8 you’d expect a serviceable pitcher who occasionally gets rattled. Except that’s not the story here. Jimenez will 85% of the time allow inherited runners to score, and if he’s given a full inning you can book it for at least 2 runs scored. I don’t see how any manager would legitimately see him as an option in a game where we’re leading or only down 2-3 runs. Worst AA trade by far

  22. Crazy that people blame these games on Snit. He has to use the Pen, using Chavez in the 6th just means that we use Jimenez in the 9th. There is no perfect situation for every pitcher…

  23. I can’t stomach watching since we got that hideous concrete patch. Am i alone?
