What To Make of the Spurs Looking to Get Another First Round Pick – A Breakdown

  1. I’ve been an advocate for keeping Tre as our starter next year but if we could get one of the top 2 pg’s in the draft I’m all for it as I believe Scoot and Amen will be all stars.

  2. They should keep Tre if they can. He’s a mediocre starter but can be an amazing backup PG. Great dude as well.

Malaki Branham as a backup SG until he grows into a sixth man. (one can hope). Not much confidence on Graham or Wesley.

I’m not too high on the players at the very top of the draft. None have much shooting potential and we’ve seen what this team looks like with a defense only facilitator.

Team needs more two-way players like Devin that can’t be ignored on offense and aren’t traffic cones on defense.

  3. I don’t get this obsession at trafing Keldon while we have ton of picks in the future to get a pick this year. If we trade Keldon for a PG, then we have an hole at SF, so we don’t solve any issue, we simply move it from PG to SF. Using the picks allow us to get a proper squad, and if Keldon shows he’s not good enough, we can focus solely on a SF with the, still ton, picks we have left and maybe think about trading him later in his career. Judging Keldon after last season and calling him inefficient, chucker and solely a driver is not fair. You put any young third violin forward as the first option of one of the worst team in the league and I don’t know how much better he would act. Simply, I truly wonder how OG Anunoby would look like as the go-to-guy on the Pistons. Let’s not make immediate conclusion on a 23 years old forward that showed nothing but love for the organization and is an essential player in the locker room, something very few value nowadays. It’s has always been like these around here. As soon as a young guy shows promised but isn’t a star, trade talks start coming. It has been like this for DJ, for Derrick, for Jakob and now for Keldon. It’s tiring, show some respect tbh. I might take it to heart too much, but I just don’t get. The reasoning of getting younger and maybe a better player is unsustainable because there had never been a younger spurs team and he’s twenty-three and I don’t how people can conclude if he’s a good player or not because he has not peaked at all first because he played out of his role last year, and the most conclusions come from here, and even before as he played as a four which isn’t his position, and still, he has only improve. Sorry for the text wall and the rant.
