Love Monahan but he is broken, and the team who signs him will likely be getting a player on LTIR for most of that contract.
Monahan would be interesting since he’s eligible for a special contract that can be stacked with bonuses. A prospective team could get him for league minimum on a 1-year, which includes millions in bonuses if he meets certain thresholds.
With how little cap space the Flames have, he could be a decent option for the bottom-6, and if he’s injured, then he doesn’t cost much anyway.
Monahan needs to just retire. Take your money and heal yourself dude. Felt bad cause he played so hurt but because of those injuries he was next to useless near the end
