Look, it’s hard to say this trade looks like anything like a bust at this point.
but we all know how streaky Lourdes is, so his hot start shouldn’t come as a surprise. He still has little power, can’t play D and isn’t very fast on the base paths.
I feel like most people don’t consider that Lourdes is a UFA after this season and Varsho has 3 more years of team control after this season. However, the prospect of what a failure this trade can be is scarier than the speed and defense Varsho has been providing so far.
Hopefully the death rattle of Shatkins’ reign of terror here. Should have been shit canned in the off season.
