Look at where the mitt is, compared to the dot. I don’t think it dropped THAT much. I feel like it was a technology error.

Edit: This is actually a frame job by the catcher, after slowing it down to 0.25 speed. Great job by the catcher! But he still initially catches it in the zone (upper right corner)
