  1. I’d rather go to a loss than a game with an injury. My sister sat by first today and it was such a bummer. Hope Rizzo’s okay

  2. I saw none of this because I was blowing leaves and taking out the screens of the porch, but that was an enjoyable game, Rizzo aside.

  3. Anybody see Josh Donaldson today?? I feel like we might see him in Seattle or LA. Let’s hope he brings that rake with him 💪🏾

  4. Padres now 3 games back in the NL wild-card race. They really gotta get their shit together, even with the NL wild card wide open the NL West is the best division in the NL and there is no way the Padres win the division this year.

  5. Both my shoulders are fucked up, and both started hurting a lot more after Rizzo’s collision. Coincidence?

  6. The upcoming Tampa Bay schedule is such a fucking joke.

    – 3 game set against the Cubs (22-29 – currently losing 7-3 against the Reds)

    – 4 game set against the Red Sox (28-24 – currently losing 3-0 to the Snakes)

-3 game set against the Twins (27- 25 – currently losing 3-0 to the Blue Jays)

    – 4 game set against the A’s (10-44 – currently tied 1-1 with the Astros)

    – 3 game set against the Rangers (33-19 – the only actually decent matchup here)

    – 3 game set against the Padres

Will they have a tough stretch all year?? Artificial record goes crazy

  7. The Volpe debate is basically like if a pizza comes out undercooked and you want to give it a few more minutes in the oven and someone tells you that you can’t criticize the pizza because its a new restaurant and the chef is trying his best and you just have to deal with the undercooked pizza.

  8. At least Cole got the win today! His ERA went up a bit, naturally & sadly, though. Good win and glad we could shut Tatis, and his cheating ass, up! Go Yankees!

  9. Offense looks great. The ways they are scoring are more shifty and Hitting w RISP and a fatigued bullpen has been their downfall somewhat in some Octobers in the past. They are doing very well in both areas at the moment and I’m hoping (but not expecting) they will continue to do well all the way to a WS ring.

Looked like today’s game was gonna be a farce with the errors and offensive explosion from the Yanks. Instead it turned into a team picking up their ace in the middle of a rough time for him. I honestly thought they were gonna lose this series but this last month or so these guys have had more energy and seem to have ‘bought in’ to the team’s vision. It’s very refreshing because when they aren’t bought in, it’s some of the most boring shit ever.

Oh and hope Rizzo is gonna be alright. Neck injuries suck.

  10. Anyone notice IKF whispering to Volpe? I think Padres have been tipping

  11. Good win, but I wanted to share some pretty scary numbers from our starting pitchers

Batting line 3rd time through the order – .312/.387/.597

    Batting line after 75 pitches – .335/.408/.652

This was before today, where these numbers will likely go up. Those are ghastly numbers. Basically every hitter becomes Aaron Judge when a pitcher gets deep into a game. To put it bluntly, our starting pitchers need to grow a sack and get through a start without completely blowing up at the end. No more moral victories of “they looked good for 5 innings”. This bullpen has not only pitched as many innings as any team in baseball, a majority of them are high leverage innings. A 4-5 run lead in the 7th inning should be a game you can put in your pocket, but it hasn’t been due to our starters.

  12. This was such a weird start from Cole. Normally when he has a shit start you can tell he has no control and is moping around. Today it seemed like he had really good stuff and still ended up giving up 5 runs.

  13. Cole pitched poorly in 7th because he had run leverage. Thanks Boone. Always love me a new bullshit term

  14. Gerrit Cole technically won this game, which is the best kind of winning

    Huuuuge Higgy day

$40m is a steal for Aaron Judge

Please please please be okay Rizzo 🙏🙏🙏

  15. If you want a laugh go to r/baseball and find the post about the championship game being lost on a dropped strike. I can’t link to r/baseball here anymore apparently, it gets auto removed, but it’s a great watch. Baseball is so great

  16. Always grateful for a win but the pitching and defense letting up 7 runs is a problem.

  17. The Astros are having trouble reaching an extension with Kyle tucker, outfielder and lefty batter. It’s very possible the Yankees trade for him

Source: it was revealed to me in a dream

  18. Damn. Just realized the next two series all start mad late on west coast times. 😓

  19. Cole had 9 Ks and I’m supposed to worry about his era! I’d be more worried about the Padres scoring 7 runs but the Yankees responded with 10 so it doesn’t really matter. Good series W this series with Seattle should be a good one

  20. Was at the game it was awesome but a lot of confusion with people trying to get in . Lots of people angry about the giant lines it took about 35 mins to get in the building and missed judges hr.

  21. IKF got off to a dreadful start:

    >4/02 to 4/14: .091/.091/.091 | -62 wRC+

And since then and entering today, after having three days off from 4/15 to 4/17 has hit:

    >4/18 to 5/27: .240/.305/.427 | 103 wRC+

So his season numbers don’t look good but the reason he is well-liked now is that he is hitting a lot better and playing LF/CF/3B/SS which is pretty insane if you think about it.
