A little /r/FloridaPanthers lore while we wait for the finals to start:
For those who haven’t heard of him, he was a self proclaimed Panther “fan” but was basically harsher than our worst critics. He would hate any fan who celebrated a win, making the playoffs, or any success at all because we weren’t pessimistic like him that we’d eventually fail.
I had my first run in with him back in like 2011, on the NHL.com forums, and then on Facebook. He’d eventually find me on here and send me messages for years. Whenever we’d lose a bad game, or go on a losing skid, I’d get a very vulgar “told you so” message. He’d get banned from the sub and create new users, but we all still knew it was him.
I honestly haven’t heard from him since pre-pandemic maybe, you still out there bud? Even after all the shit you talked, I really do hope you’re finally enjoying this.

Probably had a stroke after we came back and beat Boston.
He’s on Facebook and is extremely humble now. Still cocky but everyone gets way too worked up over him especially considering he was around 75 percent right most of the time(he will say 100% of the time). Gotta take the criticism of fans that have been here through thick and thin. Pessimistic fans are just as much fans as the ones that defend every bad thing over the last 2 decades
There’s a guy in the Official Florida Panthers Fans Group on Facebook named Jake who sounds a lot like that. Always super negative except recently finally.
What’s his stance now? Does he think the boys can do it

Oh man this brings back memories. The amount of times that man would talk shit about Barkov and get into petty arguments with Panthers fans was beyond numerous. I’ll never forget his grammatically flawed rants. They were a form of comedy this sub hasn’t seen in awhile.
I mean he wasnt wrong about the old core. The new core is quite a bit better. Totally different team than pre 2020. Also that Nostradamus thing was really funny.
