  1. I have always loathed this narrative and the fact that the media ran with it the entire off-season was infuriating. As if these are little league kids who are too focused on their phones/shenanigans to really get into the game. Or their silliness affected their discipline on the field. Just because the Jays had fun, doesn’t mean they weren’t playing to their potential, as CLEARLY indicated by this season.

Also, I don’t get that much more of a “serious” vibe from this team. Are KK and Varsho more mature as people than Teo or Lourdes, or are they just quieter? The point is, it doesn’t matter as this was a nothingburger that old, grouchy baseball heads ran with as if it would turn us into immediate juggernauts.

    Now what?

  2. I don’t know, I think it was getting an 8-1 lead against the Ms and then bringing in Mr. Popcorn to attempt to get a hold. You can’t expect a Bass to keep an airplane, let alone an inning or two in relief, clean. /s

Counting that game, they’ve been 10-17 since.
