  1. Agreed, the definition of power forward! 235 lbs and uses it if necessary.

  2. Not many guys can pot goals and also hit like that, and at his age. He’s been a hell of a player for a long time.

  3. Anyone remember Artukhin? Russians always have the craziest hits lol

I should clarify, I hate Artyukhi , just wanted to point to the craziest hitter I remember and that it always seems to be russians

  4. Hard to not like the guy specifically for his on ice play. Seems like a idiot off the ice but wtv.

  5. He’s the one guy that takes numbers and makes sure you feel it, then scores on you next shift.

  6. This is why ovechkins records will not be broken in this era. There will need to be a significant change in how the game is played before anyone can come close.

There are plenty of hard hitting durable players.

There are plenty of high scoring players.

Ovi is that rare cross between the two.

  7. Wish I could see the hit instead of an added shaking camera and stupid light effects

  8. No idea why someone that small would go after someone that large. I know he has napoleon complex, but still.

  9. Goddamn I hate editing like that. Just show the hit. It doesn’t make it more intense to shake the shot around

  10. There was a 6 second clip from last season that I recorded summed up how he played: he shoulders a guy down like he’s a crash-test dummy, finds the puck, immediately snaps a shot home, hugs Backstrom while smiling. Destroy, score, celebrate with his guys = Ovi in a nutshell.

  11. Marchand and him are different, they both aren’t but he’s, so many people would fake it, but both got up and went to the next play

  12. Ovi is what Lindros was suppose to be. I guess something got to Eric Lindros that set him in a different path than what Ovi became.

  13. Member when he got hurt at the world JRs in the loss to Canada…..great times

  14. Ovi throws a hit and then gets hit afterwards. Name a player that hasn’t done this or has happened to them. What’s special about this?

  15. Man I really hope he catches Gretzky in all time goals I think he can do it
