My all time Mavs starting 5, plus 6th man. Was bored as hell so I decided to make this. Also just thought it was an interesting team. Open for discussion and disagreement.

1. Only basing this off how much they did for *the Mavs specifically.*

2. Kidd has a better Mavs resume than Luka to this point – projecting his career, I agree Luka @1 but Kidd was co-RoY and ‘11 champ

3. I love Michael Finley, but he never took them anywhere himself AND he was never a 6th man. I’m going with JET as 6th man…. All the rest are fine

5. If we’re talking about what they did as Mavericks then there is a strong argument to put Roy Tarpley as the C. That guy was incredible and it’s a real shame that alcohol destroyed his life.

6. Nash, Kidd, Luka, Marion, Dirk

   6th: JET

   I’m going with a smaller team that I think would cause major problems in today’s NBA. No one could guard this group, and it still has decent size and would be a pretty good defensive rebounding group. Not a ton of foot speed but smart positional players, a couple swiss army knives in Kidd/Trix, and so much offense you wouldn’t know what to do with it.

   I’d put this group against any Mavs historical team and feel pretty confident about my chances.
