Jaguars see ex-Bronco McManus as “one of the best kickers in the league”

Yeah, its hype season. Just like every other thread on this sub is titled something like “X believes random Broncos player could be elite”.
If McManus develops into one of the best kickers in the league at the Jags good for him and good for them, but I’m not going to read anything into any of these hype comments until the performances match it.

Not anymore, but still a good starter. I’m curious how his stats look when he plays most of a season at sea level
Cool. He’s not.
Best is such a subjective term. I’d say he’s still better than league average, but not top 5.
I still love McManus. We used to call him McAnus in þe olden dayes after Darth Prater but he became such a badass. I will always appreciate him and hope he finds success on another team.
He’s probably in that 10ish range. Definitely was a good kicker for us and mostly reliable. My biggest issue is it always seemed like he thought he was better than he actually was. I don’t think there was any year he was “exceptional.” Instead, he was just constantly good throughout his tenure. A lot of teams would be happy with that.
I hope we don’t hop on the kicker carousel now. We’ve been spoiled with excellent kickers.
So why only a one year deal? Beat reporters need to fill the twitterverse and column with content.
He’s pretty good. Hope it works out for the Jaguars, as long as they aren’t facing the Broncos.
Hey jags fan here. Supposedly he kicked 13-14 50+td kicks last year which is why his percentage was so bad for you all.
Here’s to hoping TLAW is not Russell Wilson bad last year and every point is a must.
