  7. It always feels like 1 step forward, 2 steps back with this team. Rangers continue to be unstoppable. Just hope we can win tomorrow and carry something into a big houston series which has usually gone terribly for us the past decade

  11. Anderson is back end rotation, if that. I’d put Barria, Canning before him. Simply not reliable.

  12. That felt like a very winnable game. But tough to win when you go 1-16 with 10 Ks after giving up the lead in the bottom of the 4th

  13. Not a single solitary soul said Anderson was a bad contract when he signed his deal. Take a look at the posts in this sub when he signed. But let’s blame Perry for this and not look in the mirror I guess.

  14. Recap: Guys who haven’t been doing so great do better. Rest of team forgets how to play.

  15. Not a fun game to watch. Anderson has good stuff but really needs to figure out the command for it to be effective. Trout had some ugly at bats but could have still easily had two hits – not too concerned on that front. Ward figuring it out is great, and sho getting a hold of one also rules. Hopefully we can take the series tomorrow!

  19. Anderson’s LAD year was the exception to his career. His ERA hovers around 4 or 5. Expect a loss if the Angels offense can’t score 7-8 runs when he pitches.

  21. I prefer losing because of a disaster inning than losing because of our offense sucking all the way through. Just happy Shohei seems to be doing better, at least slightly. Let’s just throw this away and take the series tomorrow.

  22. Damn! What a loss. Although it’s always tough to win with only 3 runs it’s gotta be deflating for a struggling offense to take the lead only to have their starter immediately give up 5.

  26. The Angels had won every single game started by Tyler Anderson this last month. We all know what he’s supposed to be (a back-end guy), but that meltdown and not taxing the pen is really not great.

    One last chance at 15 wins this month tomorrow. Can’t believe I’m saying this after winning 7 of 10 in the middle of the month.

  29. No bullpen and no Rendon (again) and Trout in a drought…how are the Angels supposed to win?

  32. It was a blast seeing Ohtani homer in person, but overall not a fun game outside the first few innings. Anderson just fell apart, and Silseth needs to work on his control.

  34. I wonder why I felt the game was out of reach once the sox took the lead. Now I know, its because this team strikes out too much. Really sucks the life out of the game if they can’t even put the ball in play.
