  1. Aggregate. For what it’s worth this is the opinion of Jovan Buha who is hit or miss.

  2. Do we really improve that much getting FVV? His percentages don’t look good at all

  3. 2 years older, 3” shorter, about equal as a shooter and playmaker (FVV slightly better scorer, dlo slightly better playmaker in the pnr), equally streaky, and ever so slightly better defensively (worth considering the better wing defenders FVV has been blessed to play with to boost his DRtg to league average 114 while awful defender dlo is at 116)

This isn’t an improvement, so if this is the FO preference, it’s because they don’t want to pay dlo either the amount or years he’s wanting and don’t want to lose him for nothing.

I’d rather pay dlo and bite the bullet in Y3, knowing he can more easily be moved as an expiring in Y4.

  4. I’m not a fan of Dlo, but we need someone better than him and I’m not sure it is an upgrade.

  5. I’m hoping “vanvleet linked” means it’s part of a bigger deal that would make more sense than a 1:1 swap.

Dlo, Beasley and 17 for FVV and GTJ makes more sense to me.

  6. We should just let d lo walk if we can get him on the cheap. There is no market for
D lo and im not going to overpay just so he can be moved in the last year. Cut him hes not a good locker room presence has no self awareness and is locked on being a starter. We dont need players like that he wasnt ever an all star caliber player so seeing him come off the bench when his performance is terrible and being upset because he thinks its a downgrade is unacceptable.

  7. Ehhh the plus is the defense and a more proven playoff record, but Vanfleet is a downgrade on the offensive end. People are so reactionary on players. If we signed Russell for 22 million (can fleet’s salary) I’m not sure I don’t still pick Russell

  8. They might be about even during the regular season, but VanVleet wouldn’t decline and be unplayable in the playoffs.
