  1. He’s had better control as of late. Hopefully he’s found his new mechanics. But the fact that he didn’t get the call up earlier (before the E-Rod injury) as a replacement for Wentz tells me they probably didn’t think he was ready. And now we just need somebody to take the mound with 6 starters on the IL.

  2. Desperate times call for desperate measures

Happy for Reece though, he has looked better his last few starts:

    14.1 IP

    2 ER

    22 K

  3. I’m like 60% sure this dude lives in my apartment complex

Or at least used too if he’s in Detroit now

  4. White Sox fan here just letting you know how much it kills me that we didn’t sign AJ Hinch when we had the opportunity. Your team is basically in the hospital and AJ is making the most with what he has to work with and is doing a hell of a job. When the Tigers are fully loaded they are going to be the ones to reckon with in the AL Central.

  5. Good for him and I hope he makes the most of it! My expectations aren’t super high but he has some nasty stuff and has been pitching better lately. I just fear he might fall into the same problems Wentz is going thru where he can’t land his secondaries for strikes so opponents are just teeing off on the FB since it’s not good enough by itself to miss bats.

  6. Avila was a pretty awful GM but he did kinda fleece the Brewers getting Olson for Norris

  7. So not to possibly jinx it, but in case someone else went down who is even left unless we have to turn to some bad FAs
