I think 40SB is pretty easily going to happen. It’s the HRs I’m getting worried about
Checking in on Ronald’s path to 40-40. Steals are looking great, but HRs are slipping below pace. I just checked and Ronald has the second highest hard hit percent on the team, but also the third highest ground ball rate. (both leaderboards set to a minimum of 20 plate appearances). Just a little more launch and he’s gonna blow past everyone!
He’s going to eclipse 40 SBs easily. He’s on pace for 63 right now.
HRs are going to be a little tougher. He’s only on pace for 32 right now. We have a 7 game stretch @ PHI and @ CIN later this month. Hopefully he does work in those launch pads.
thankfully he’s our leadoff hitter and he gets a ton of at bats. he’ll get hot for a month and be at 30HR before you know it, with plenty of season left to close it out
He’s focused way more on AVG this year. He knows the homers will come. He’s going with the ball where it is pitched. If he wanted to he could go back to catching the ball out front and dropping mail over MLB.
