  1. • Pre-draft mock based on source from NHL.com and Bleacher Report. Average taken across all rankings.

    • 2023 Redraft is **SUBJECTIVE** and is compiled from opinion re-drafts at capfriendly.com.

    • If a player was not featured in the 1st or 2nd round of the 2023 redraft, they were allocated position 63.

    • ‘Reach or good pick’ at time of draft is position acquired vs mock expected. E.g. – If a player was predicted to be taken 10th overall, but a team drafted him at 20th, this would be seen as a good pick.

    • ‘Reach or good pick’ in 2023 is redraft position vs actual draft position. Lower number = ‘worse pick’. E.g. – team used the 10th overall pick to acquire the 30th best player in the draft class.

Let me know if this is something you’d like to see for other years.

  2. Interesting how many names on that list finally had breakout performances this season. Guys like Glass, Mittelstadt, Necas, Tippett, Skinner and Tolvanen all just had their best season to date. Most of them looked pretty bad until this year but they all found something, most of them on new teams. I’d say 2017 is still pretty early to redraft as so many of them are still developing.
