Honestly, I feel like a 2nd round flier on Emoni Bates isn’t too big of a risk. For the potential he has (and our need for a shot creator) I think it makes sense. Who knows, maybe he’ll even live up to his pre-memphis hype. At that point in the draft are there any other guys you’d rather Sean sets his Marks on?

I trust in Marks as a talent evaluator and drafter. I like Bates a lot , but if he drops to 51 and the Nets don’t take him, hopefully it’s just cause Marks likes someone even better than Bates
If he’s there, why not. Very low risk using a 2rp on what was an extremely high potential guy. Problem is other teams probably have the same idea.
Marks should go for Tosan Evbuomwan, that’s just me tho
If we do end up trading Cam, I think drafting Bates with our second rounder is a no brainer tbh.
