  1. Positives from today’s baseball:

Logan T Allen continues his ROY campaign with a duel against Cy Young contender Sonny Gray. Allen goes 6IP, giving up 7H, 2R, 2BB and 4K. The kid might just have a future here…

As everyone predicted, the key bats today resided in Brennan, Arias, and Gimenez. The trio has a combined 6 hits including Brennan’s 2 run HR and 3 RBI. Also Kwan being Kwan 😀

Special day at Akron today, when pitcher Jack Leftwich(CLE prospect #30) goes 6 innings hitless before being pulled, issuing a single base runner on a walk. Reliever lost the no hitter, but a great day on the mound. Pitching machine go BRRRRRRR

Bullpen also goes BRRRRRRR with Karinchak, DLS, and Clase holding the fort down, going a combined 3IP, 1H, 0R, 0BB, and 4K

I watched about three pitches of this game so this is a lot of pulling out of the box score, someone tell me how the fielding did please!

  2. * Allen bending but not breaking
    * The bullpen back in vintage form
    * Contributions from the new guys
    * Tito looking like a proud dad after the game

Could you ask for anything more?

  3. Huge comeback win. A chance to split tomorrow after a rough open to the series.

  4. Win tomorrow and everything will be fine. Huge difference between being 3.5 back or 5.5 back. Certainly would’ve like to take 3/4 but splitting is fine

  5. Should have handed Gray his second L of the year. He’s only given up 3 ERs twice this year. Both times against the Guards. Could have had 2 more at least off him.

Good win, though. Even better I put down a bet on that being the exact score.

  6. I know Brennan has had some tough moments fielding recently, but I think his bat has potential.

  7. Not the best game but pretty solid overall. I liked Logan in the minors but it feels like he’s even stepped it up in the majors now. The team seems to be playing with more energy as a whole which is a good sign

  8. It’s so refreshing to play what feels like a normal baseball game

  9. In the 4th inning, I muted my TV and paused the broadcast long enough to line up with the WTAM feed on my iPad. Was fantastic to listen to Hammy with visuals and also see a win.
