  1. If he doesn’t return to play in these finals you have to trade him unfortunately win or lose. He would absolutely help the heat but the last 3 playoff runs he’s either been hurt/unavailable or just bad

  2. Damn, he’s probably not playing…

Anyway, this team showed they can beat anyone even without Herro so lets get that ring.

  3. I feel bad for him I know it hurts to think you can do more wrong than good if you’re not 100%

  4. He would’ve helped a lot off the bench in this series. But I think the heat view it as they have a good thing going right now and if he’s not 100% why risk it. He might still be cleared to play game 5 that’d give him another week. Also depends on where we stand in the series at that point

  5. He doesnt need to play at this point I agree but being available could pay dividends.

Just 6-8 minutes of microwave scoring / giving Max or Duncan some rest might pay off big time

  6. Herro is real af for acknowledging the second part

Both are legitimate concerns, his health/effectiveness and the rhythm of the team. His Stans pushing so hard for him to come back has been just really weird to see. They would rather sacrifice herros potential health and the rhythm of the team just so they can see their man play. So strange.

  7. That must suck so much for Tyler.

He knows more than anyone what the discourse will be about him, whether we win or lose. I think he even talked about it before the playoffs that he knows he has something to prove beyond the regular season. It’s been one unlucky break after another

  8. I also think it’s a bit unfair to thrust a guy into the finals after being out for 2 months, most of the time he wasn’t even able to practice either.

It’s a lot to ask of someone.

  9. If we went down 0-2 then he could comfortably play in Game 3. You’re trippin’ if you think he’s coming back and giving you a quick 15+ points per game.

Since we’re 1-1, it’s better if he doesn’t play. Max’s spot would still be open for him tho, he started hot but didn’t do much afterwards.

  10. Honestly, hot take, I think he will be able to play game 3. I know he is not 💯% but it’s such a turnaround from possible to play to this.

Plus, ngl, I just can’t shake the feeling about the wording of the rhythm part. Why would Herro say that unless it’s not his own words? We don’t know what the team and Herro’s health is. Plus, the team and him are definitely pushing through to reunite, so the wording of the second part of the tweet is very suspicious and facetious.

  11. I disagree with the “we don’t need him” comments. If we get cold like game 1 he can provide that scoring consistency. However, I would wait till later in in the series before activating him

  12. This is from pre game 2, another 3 days of rest and rehab, it’s more likely he plays than not. Maybe not Game 3, but game 4 or 5 definitely

  13. I would normally agree that we don’t wanna mess with the flow but his skill set would torch the Denver defense with Bam PnRs. If he’s healthy I think we can find a role for him

  14. He’s got a few more days so hopefully it gets better by then.

3 days can go a long way

  15. If this is true… no way is he even close to coming back. Rest up young king.

  16. I’d love it if he played and I feel bad for him because you know there ain’t nothing more than to be out there playing but I’m not surprised at this. I repeatedly said folks should calm down on expecting him back. That man BROKE HIS SHOOTING HAND.

Even if it’s healed that thing is gone be sore and tender, and he’s gone have guys like KCP hacking his hand constantly. That’s a lot of pain to deal with

  17. Imagine being away from basketball for a whole month, healing from a injury to your shooting hand, only to get put out into the finals! We’re putting big pressure on a guy who’s not played basketball in a long time. If he can provide, fantastic. But if not, it’s okay…

  18. Ngl I don’t know if we can get the job done without Herro. But I was wrong twice already this playoffs. Here’s to hoping I am wrong again.

  19. Y’all please read the full quote instead of just the post title. He’s pretty clearly just talking about why he wasn’t playing game 2, don’t think he’s saying anything about the rest of the series

  20. I don’t think he should start, but there are some wonky lineups especially at the start of the second that herro basically can’t make any worse and could only make better. If his hand is good, he should bare minimum get short bursts like highsmith.

  21. you guys forget when he got sat the whole playoffs last time because he was getting exposed on defense. herro is an amazing scorer but he’s a liability in a playoff game

  22. If we take a big lead Id like to see him play

I want him to feel like he contributed because, without him, we likely don’t even make the play in. But not playing all playoffs will have to be tough on his mind

  23. The soft tissue part of the healing process is a bear…and takes months.

  24. If he’s recovery is still at the stage where he’s feeling soreness in his follow throughs, then I totally understand his thinking. I think it just generally would make him hesitant on sticking his hand out for anything like a loose ball or on defense.
