  1. And for the even more ridiculous Grand Slam stats from 1966-2023

    Riley has been the hitter or runner in 8 of the last 9 (since Dansby’s on 7/22/21)

    Runner, None, Runner, Runner, Runner, Runner, Runner, Hitter, Runner

    Which puts him at 6th already for most GS on base for

    * 31 Chipper Jones
    * 20 Andruw Jones
    * 14 Freddie Freeman
    * 12 Swanson, Lockhart
    * 11 Austin Riley
    * 10 Millan, Blauser

    Only other GS vs AZ (& also on the road)

    Was LaRoche in 2006, 1 of 3 games where weirdly LaRoche hit a grand slam and they lost. They’ve only lost 22 of 191 GS games since they moved to Atlanta.

    * 5/19/06 – Adam LaRoche [@ ARI – L, 9-10](https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/ARI/ARI200605190.shtml)
    * 10/9/05 – Adam LaRoche [@ HOU – L, 6-7](https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/HOU/HOU200510090.shtml)
    * 5/13/05 – Adam LaRoche [vs LAD – L, 4-7](https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/LAN/LAN200505130.shtml)

    Only other GS on game 59 of the season was another Eddie, the 8th & final GS of Eddie Mathews’ career.
    Also on a Sunday in early June. [They lost that game though](https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/PIT/PIT196606120.shtml)

    For Atlanta alone: Eddie Perez has 2, Rosario & Mathews 1.

    Other slams on June 4th

    * 6/4/77 – Sat – 53 G – Jeff Burroughs [@SFG, W](https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/ATL/ATL197706040.shtml)
    * 6/4/74 – Tue – 52 G – Hank Aaron [@ PHI, W](https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/PHI/PHI197406040.shtml)

  2. Still remember that Brooks Conrad grand slam. His reaction when he thought it got robbed lol

  3. Brian Jordan’s walkoff grand slam was my very first Braves game as a little kid :’) Still hard to believe it, honestly.

  4. Brooks Conrad.

    Hey bro I’m just gonna go ahead and commit every fucking defensive error possible.

    Cool story.
