Kelce predicts Mahomes will have more rings than Steph & Klay

What do you guys think? I think comparing themselves to Steph & Klay right now is a bit presumptuous but perhaps they might end up with more than the Dubs have with the core.

  1. It’s not even the offseason yet. This is a minimum 3 weeks after the finals post.

  2. He definitely might.

Mahomes is not quite a Lebron/Jordan type in NFL, but he is the tier right below that imo. He may very well end up with 5-6.

Steph on the other hand was a top 10 ish player all time. So still very good. May end up with 5.

  3. I didn’t know we were doing cross comparisons with NFL folk. Who the fuck cares what Kelce thinks? Of course he’s going to suck up to his guy.

  4. Good trash talk for their golf match. Seeing as mahomes is halfway there, and in prime position to keep winning and Steph and klay could very possibly never win again (obviously not my thoughts but it’s possible unfortunately) it’s not an insane comment. I don’t really watch football though so outside of Brady I’m just completely unfamiliar with football aging curves and how they’re changing so really hard to say. Either way it’s easily at least possible and good trash talk so

  5. It’s easy when your role in your sport is one sided: just offense. Basketball, every player plays both offense and defense. You made a bucket? Better run your ass down the other side in transition. American football after you make a touchdown, you sit your ass down and have a drink.

  6. Mahomes is literally on pace to become the GOAT. And it’s pretty scary. Don’t really understand the comparison between two different sports though (other than saying that “______ is the MJ of ______).

But if we are going that route, is he gonna catch Bill Russell? Doubt it. Therefore he must be a bum. /s

  7. It’s not impossible but I think he’s definitely underestimating the difficulty behind winning 3 more super bowls.

  8. Who gives a crap. You have to win like 3 playoff games to win a Super Bowl.

  9. They have 2 rings and are in a position to win more going forward. I think it would be tough for Kelce to win 3 more, but that is entirely in the realm of possibilities for Mahomes.

Mahomes didn’t waste the first 6 years of his career being coached by Mark Jackson

  10. Kelce has what? Two good years left in him? As great as Mahomes is, and he is great, you can see he still relies of Kelce to break deadlocks in a game.

Once Kelce (and Reid) goes, it really depends on how that team retools

  11. They’re not done yet also don’t see how this comparison is even valid… NFL and NBA are kind of different

  12. Mahomes is the most talented quarterback ever and has a genius coach. Its not a stretch at all to say this.

He literally won in the subperbowl and playoffs with one leg for chrissakes imagine what he can do fully healthy!

  13. It’s a pretty good comp. Mahomes and Curry work miracles on a regular basis and are thrilling to watch, and Klay and Kelce are solid and scare the crap out of defenses when left open.

  14. ive never seen even the most stupid tv talking heads try to compare rings across sports

that being said the lions are winning the next 15 superbowls so kelce is just wrong unfortunately

  15. Haha love the trash talk, but nope I don’t think it’ll happen. Mahomes by himself has a great chance, but the duo of him and Kelce doesn’t have that much time left given kelce’s age. Besides, it’s so hard to win chips in either sport, but football feels harder than basketball. Brees, Peyton manning, Russell Wilson combined have four rings.
